One man was issued a summons for trespassing and ripped up the document, saying he would not be going to court, according to police.

Friday, Sept. 3
1:18 a.m., 200 block of Wakeman Road: 18-wheeler truck hit fence.
2:13 a.m., 3200 block of the Post Road: 64-year-old man went to the Shell gas station in Southport after being warned not to return, police said, adding that when the man was issued summons for trespassing, he said he would not go to court and ripped up the document.

11:27 a.m., 1100 block of Kings Highway Cutoff: Man stole $50 worth of meat from Stop & Shop and fled in a sedan.
8:57 p.m., Grasmere Avenue and Ash Street: A 33-year-old man was charged with first-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment after displaying a gun while driving a pickup truck, police said.

Warrant arrest: A 66-year-old man from Fairfield turned himself in on a warrant for two counts of selling narcotics, police said, adding he was released on a $10,000 bond.

12:42 a.m., Baros Street: Unlocked vehicle stolen from driveway with keys inside.

2:12 a.m., 1000 block of the Post Road: Catalytic converter stolen from Hansen's Flower Shop.
12:14 p.m., 500 block of Turney Road: Overturned kayak assisted at South Benson Marina.
1:58 p.m., Rakoczy Avenue: Golf clubs left in yard, stolen.
7:46 p.m., Green Knolls Lane: Two bikes stolen from Windsor Place.
10 p.m., Lantern Point: Officers began clearing out area after large groups were looking for parties, a couple ambulance calls for intoxication, crowds were eventually dispersed.
