Arrests And Incidents In Fairfield: Sept. 7-13 Police Log
Police recently received reports of a naked man on a bridge, obscene graffiti and a woman threatening middle school students.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Here are the arrest and incident logs for Sept. 7-13, 2021, as provided by the Fairfield Police Department.
Tuesday, Sept. 7
4:21 p.m., 800 block of the Post Road: Two bikes stolen in front of Hobbytown USA, officers found two men, 18 and 19, riding them behind Bank of America, according to police. The men were both charged with third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny and interfering, and released on bond, police said.
10:42 p.m., 200 block of Old Dam Road: Men reported fighting near softball field, 41-year-old man charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace after punching someone in the face while holding a glass beer bottle, which shattered, causing a 1-inch laceration to the victim, police said. Fight took place after a softball game and was about use of a beer cooler.

Wednesday, Sept. 8
1:34 a.m., Pease Avenue: Four people in masks fled onto Interstate 95 south in a stolen Toyota Matrix, six thefts from vehicles confirmed in the area.
2:34 a.m., Tide Mill Terrace: Three men in hoods and masks reported, officer saw juvenile run into fleeing gray Subaru, three thefts from motor vehicles confirmed on Overhill Road.

7:26 a.m., 100 block of Sasco Hill Road: Unlocked cars ransacked overnight.
10:02 a.m., 100 block of Woodrow Avenue: People tried to enter car overnight.
12:04 p.m., 900 block of Kings Highway East: Man and woman stole over $90 in sandwiches from Cumberland Farms.
12:35 p.m., 700 block of Mill Hill Terrace: Car rummaged through overnight.
12:48 p.m., 700 block of Mill Hill Terrace: Two cars entered overnight, nothing stolen.
8:29 p.m., 200 block of Galloping Hill Road: Residential burglary, back door kicked in, master bedroom rummaged through, nothing of value stolen.
Thursday, Sept. 9
1:02 a.m., 900 block of Kings Highway East: Man with mask and blue-and-white bandana robbed Cumberland Farms, implying he had a weapon and fleeing on foot.
12:27 p.m., 800 block of the Post Road: Catalytic converter stolen from company van while parked overnight at Village Bagel.
6:30 p.m., 500 block of Kings Highway Cutoff: Man tried to steal a $229 nail gun from Home Depot, merchandise recovered, man fled in black Nissan Altima.
Friday, Sept. 10
7:06 a.m., 1300 block of Lyman Road: Vehicle stolen overnight with keys, found in Waterbury.
7:17 a.m., Brooklawn Terrace: Catalytic converter stolen about 3 a.m. Sept. 9.
8:48 a.m., Farmstead Hill Road: Vehicle stolen overnight with keys.
10:11 a.m., Farmstead Hill Road: Vehicle stolen overnight with keys, recovered by Waterbury police.
2:28 p.m., 200 block of Unquowa Road: Woman called students names and threatened to assault them while walking near Tomlinson Middle School.
2:32 p.m., Calf Pond Lane: Rental car, a blue Nissan Versa, stolen overnight, keys in vehicle.
2:49 p.m., 200 block of Westford Drive: $200 cash stolen from parked vehicle overnight Sept. 8.
4:24 p.m., Post and Reef roads: 37-year-old man charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive in proper lane and no license after a vehicle accident, according to police. Posted $1,000 bond.
7:44 p.m., 900 block of Burr Street: Vehicle rummaged through overnight.
11:11 p.m., 100 block of Bennett Street: Wallet and cash stolen from vehicle.
11:25 p.m., Mine Hill Road: Residential burglary, back door smashed open, main bedroom ransacked.
Saturday, Sept. 11
9:13 a.m., 5000 block of Congress Street: Antique water pump stolen from backyard in previous week.
9:20 a.m., 100 block of Farmington Avenue: Vehicle stolen overnight with keys, recovered in Bridgeport.
Sunday, Sept. 12
6:58 a.m., 1400 block of Fairfield Beach Road: Garage entered overnight, vehicle stolen.
6:23 p.m., 900 block of Black Rock Turnpike: Two juveniles on bikes stole makeup and a muscle therapeutic device from CVS.
7:17 p.m., Rowland Road and Paulding Street: An obscene drawing was spray painted on Paulding Street near Smith Street.
11:16 p.m., 1900 block of Black Rock Turnpike: Customer refusing to mask created a disturbance at CVS.
Monday, Sept. 13
10:23 a.m., 700 block of Fairfield Beach Road: Someone broke into house a few nights earlier, stole electronic items and carved obscenities on the wall.
1:09 p.m., Merwins Lane and Cross Highway: Naked man, about 60, reported on the Merwin's Lane bridge, left the area in an SUV.
7:17 p.m., 100 block of Park Drive: Vehicle stolen out of Bridgeport recovered.
7:18 p.m., the Cascades at Lake Mohegan: Two men reported riding dirt bikes on the trails.
8:46 p.m., 100 block of Castle Avenue: Stolen vehicle from Carmel, New York, recovered.
