Audition Notice from Broadway Method Academy

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

BMA & Black Rock Theater is holding in-person auditions for its semi-professional production of The Sound of Music, directed by Connor Deane. Professionals will be cast in leading roles and students will fill out supporting roles and the ensemble. Performances will run March 3, 2023- March 12, 2023. The participation fee for students is $600.

WHO: Actors ages 6 & up (You do not need to be a current BMA student to audition,
but we do encourage all auditionees to check out our Spring classes.)

WHEN: December 2, 3:30 - 6:30 PM.

WHERE: BMA's Blackbox Theater at 1935 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior to auditioning, please review our complete rehearsal schedule linked below and fill out the audition. Once you submit the audition form you will receive a confirmation email with a link to reserve a time slot for December 2.
• Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time slot.
• Prepare 32 bars of a musical theater song in the style of the show. You may sing from the show. We will have a live accompanist, so please bring clearly marked sheet music that is printed and inside a binder.
• Please bring a headshot and resume.
