Author Luca DiMatteo Discusses New Book Jordan's Bitter Pill

Fairfield University Store Hosts Author for Meet & Greet on June 20

Author Luca DiMatteo will host a Meet & Greet for his new book, Jordan's Bitter Pill, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sat., June 20, at the Fairfield University Store, 1499 Post Road, Fairfield, CT.

In Jordan's Bitter Pill, young Dr. Jordan Carey grew up with parents who sheltered her from the ills of the world. While completing an inner-city medical residency, she learned of communities that must choose between feeding their families and getting the medical care they need. Jordan passes on joining a lucrative medical practice to open an office in the neighborhood near the hospital where she trained. The community is not accepting of this newcomer.

Dr. Carey skirts the line to win their trust. It worked too well. A ladder-climbing prosecutor hears of Dr. Carey's deeds and places her on trial where she must fight for her career and her freedom. Dr. Carey chooses to risk everything for her new neighborhood, and now they must choose to save their most recent addition.
