Bank Robbed In Fairfield, Suspect Sought

Police are asking for help with identifying the suspect in connection to a bank robbery on Wednesday morning.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect accused of robbing a bank on Wednesday morning. Police say the robbery occurred at the Key Bank, located at 1731 Post Road in Fairfield, at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 7.

The suspect (pictured) entered the store and passed the clerk a note that indicated that he was committing a robbery, according to Lt. Robert Kalamaras. The suspect left out the back door of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk called police immediately after the robbery occurred.

Kalamaras said nobody at the scene was injured and the incident was captured on surveillance cameras within the store.

The suspect is described by police as an African American male, wearing dark sunglasses, blue gloves, a dark-colored hoodie, dark pants and tan shoes.
