Beach Season Winding Down In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CT — Beach season is coming to an end at some Fairfield swimming spots.

At Sasco, Southport and South Pine Creek beaches, the coming weekend will be the last during which the beaches will be staffed with lifeguards, according to a news release from the Fairfield Parks & Recreation Department. There will be no lifeguards on duty as of Monday.

Lifeguards will continue to work at Jennings and Penfield beaches, and at Lake Mohegan, through Aug. 29, as well as during Labor Day weekend, which is Sept. 4 to Sept. 6.
