As part of WPKN's Black History Month Celebration, WPKN pays tribute to African American men and women who have made significant contributions to America and the rest of the world in the fields of science, politics, law, sports, art entertainment, and other fields. The culmination of this month-long celebration is a transformative evening of favorite works by the acclaimed Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company from New York.
Bill T. Jones is a choreographer, MacArthur Genius Fellow, two-time Tony Award-winner, author, and co-founder of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company who has been called "one of the most notable, recognized modern-dance choreographers and directors of our time" by The New York Times.
