Blood Drops Found On Food At McDonald’s In Fairfield: Report

A man found drops of blood on a food wrapper and biscuit while at McDonald's with his sons and reported it to police and health officials.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A father was shocked to find drops of blood on a food wrapper and a biscuit while at the McDonald’s on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield with his sons. The incident caused an uproar on social media and was reported to Fairfield Police and the Health Department this week, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

Despite the outrage from parents on Facebook, Fairfield Health Director Sands Cleary told the Citizen there is no reason to close the McDonald’s and that proper procedure was apparently followed when an employee realized that she had scraped her knuckle, which drew some blood.

After making the disturbing discovery on the food, the father reported it to the manager and saw that an employee had a cut on her hand. He also told police he was taking his son to the doctor as a precaution, according to the Citizen.
