Boston Marathon 2016 Results: How Did Runners From Fairfield, Southport Do?
A total of 9 Connecticut residents finished among the top 1,000 and we let you know how local residents fared.

A pair of Ethiopians were crowned 2016 Boston Marathon champions, and tens of thousands more were winners Monday afternoon on Boylston Street.
Lemi Berhanu Hayle bested defending champ Lelisa Desisa in the men’s race, finishing at 2:12:45, very modest for a Boston-winning time. Desisa, also from Ethiopia, ran a 2:13:32, while a third countryman, Adhane Tsegay, clocked a 2:14:02.
For the first time since 1986, a Massachusetts native finished in the men's top 10. Zachary Hines, a South Hadley native who lives in Dallas, finished 10th with a time of 2:21:37.
Atsede Baysa of Ethiopia won the women's division at 2:29:18.
Representing Connecticut, Michael Stadolnik finished best placing 168th with a time of 2:42:02. Connecticut residents among the top 10 include: Rob Weston, 198th, William Goodman, 238, Robert Brink, 240, Michael Grant, 622, Tyler Fredsall, 776, Ryan Ford, 791, Matthew Lynch, 807, and Ryan Miller, 962.
Locally, representing Fairfield, Phyllis Bartoli finished 18,553 with a time of 4:08:43; Lori Breiner finished 6,685 with a time of 3:26:32; Lin Feng finished 7,896 with a time of 3:30:39; Rachel Friedman finished 11,056 with a time of 3:40:42; Joel Green placed 13,896 in 3:50:00; Walton Gross placed 25,618 in 5:25:15; James McCloud placed 13,904 in 3:50:01; Keri Mckay placed 8,058 in 3:31:13; Kenji Ogawa was 5,817 with a time of 3:23:28; Virginie Skoczen was 16,856 with a time of 4:00:14; Joseph Swift was 5,394 with a time of 3:21:51 and Christine Vincent finished 11,266 in 3:41:24.
Southport runners Shannon O’Callaghan and Alisa Ryan finished in 4,501 and 9,056, respectively. O’Callaghan finished with a time of 3:18:05 and Ryan finished in 3:34:28.
