Aaron Lewis, frontman from the hard rock band STAIND, brings this second annual benefit concert to The Pines Theater at Look Park in Northampton, Mass., for a two-day event this weekend, Aug. 19 and Saturday, Aug. 20.
If you are not familiar with Aaron or his band -- formed in Springfield, Mass., in the mid-1990’s -- they dropped their debut album "Dysfunction" in 1999 and almost instantly became multi-platinum sensations. And along with bands like Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, and Korn, they ushered in heavy music's evolution in the 21st century.
Since then, Staind released six full-length albums, toured the world many times and have sold more than 15 million albums.

Lewis, being a multifaceted musician, took to the country stage and earlier this year released his first solo country EP titled "Town Line," which entered the Billboard Country album chart at No. 1.
The two-day event is sure to bring a Patriot’s helping of great music. Friday’s show will feature country music performances from Joe Nichols, Rhett Akins, Frank Hannon (of Tesla) and Alexa Carter, while Saturday brings rock with Corey Taylor (of Slipknot and Stone Sour), Tesla, Lo-Pro and Otan Vargas. Aaron will perform at both shows.

All proceeds from the show will go directly to It Takes A Community.
Aarron Lewis and his wife Vanessa founded It Takes A Community Foundation after the closing of their daughter's elementary school because of budget cuts, in hopes of keeping the school open through donations. Their focus is reviving rural communities throughout the greater New England area.
The organization strives to raise funds and support these community groups who strengthen, engage and enrich the communities they are in, sustain diminishing public services, and provide assistance to communities in crisis. They work to unite resources and ideas to help people and communities create a better tomorrow.
The weekend looks to have nice weather in the region so if great music is on your mind, take the scenic drive up to North Hampton, and enjoy the tunes, and support a great cause.
