Why I Love Fairfield ~ Bodega Taco Bar!

There are three foods that I put above all others.... Cheese, Bread, and Gaucamole.  So when I heard about a new Mexican Restaurant coming to Fairfield I was ever so hopeful that they would be the restaurant to finally get it right. And Bodega Taco Bar does just that.  They understand that guacamole needs to be made fresh when ordered, and served with crisp home-made tortilla chips.  I went for lunch with my daughter, who is also a guacamole snob, and she too agreed and is now a big fan.

We also shared two different types of tacos, the Pepito (charred poblano rajas, onion, tomatillo, avocado, queso fresco) and the Gambas (seared ancho chili shrimp, cucmber-mango salsa, chipotle mayo) and a yummy house specialty called blistered brussels sprouts (tossed in pineapple juice then flash- fried)  that were amazing.  We ate at the bar, and there was a guy sitting next to us having a burger and fries and he said they were delicious too....You should go check it out.
