During 2026, enjoy free admission at the Museum until 11/25 thanks to a generous donor. Then explore the c. 1750 Ogden House (1520 Bronson Rd.) for free all day.

At the Fairfield Museum

10 am – 4 pm:

  • Portraits of Fairfield Exhibition: In collaboration with Southport-based photographer Loryne Atoui, the Fairfield Museum invites visitors to explore a free, outdoor exhibition on the Museum Commons featuring photographic portraits of 16 community members. The exhibition showcases today’s multi-faceted Fairfield community and celebrates the different people who call Fairfield home.
  • Fairfield in 1776 Exhibition: Visitors will compare the town in the 1700s to the present day, discover who lived here, and follow residents’ lives before and during the difficult moments of the American Revolution.
  • Happy Anniversary! Exhibition: Visitors will learn more about how Fairfielders have remembered key moments in history through unique photographs, quilts, costumes, flags and more!

11 am – 2 pm:

  • Visit the historic Sun Tavern, rebuilt in 1780 after the 1779 Burning of Fairfield.
  • Enjoy the dedicated early childhood space in the Victorian Cottage, where children can learn, explore, and play.
  • Explore Fairfield’s agricultural roots in the Victorian Barn.

11:30 am – 1:30 pm:

  • Drop-in Drawing: Local teacher & artist Omayra Rivera-Filardi will share techniques for drawing outdoors. All ages and levels of experience are welcome. Materials will be provided. In case of rain, this will take place inside the museum.

At the Ogden House

10 am – 4 pm:

  • Tours of Ogden House
  • Living history demonstration

1 – 3 pm:

  • Make your own posy (while supplies last; weather dependent)

1:30 pm:

  • 18th-Century Ecology Tour: The Native & Non-Native Plants of the Ogden House Property (approx. 20 minutes; weather dependent)

2:00 pm:

  • Beekeeping at Ogden Tour: 18th-Century & Modern Practices (approx. 20 minutes; weather dependent)
