The Town of Fairfield's Affordable Housing Committee will host a workshop as a part of its continuing community conversation on housing, beginning at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2026 in the Rotary Room of the Fairfield Public Library, located at 1080 Old Post Road. The workshop is free and open to the public.
The workshop, entitled "Big Houses, Small Households", will explore the rising cost of housing and discuss potential strategies by which the Town might provide more affordable home ownership opportunities, including whether so-called pocket neighborhoods might be a part of the solution.
The program will include a moderated panel discussion featuring Oscar Leal, Owner, Beach Walk Homes; Kevney Moss, Land Acquisition Manager for Toll Brothers; and Andrei Harwell, Director of the Yale Urban Design Workshop.
Light refreshments will be provided. Parking is available in the Fairfield Public Library parking lot, along Old Post Road, or at the Sherman Green in the parking lot off of Reef Road.
