Cars Stolen, Vehicles Burglarized and One Suspect in Custody: Fairfield Police

Police are investigating a string of vehicle break-ins that occurred earlier this week and are searching for at least two more suspects.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 19-year-old New Haven man has been charged in connection to two stolen cars and a string of vehicle break-ins that occurred early Monday morning, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports Dajuan Bostic was a passenger in a Toyota Prius that was stolen from a Blake Drive home around 3 a.m. Monday and was apprehended when the driver was eluding police, lost control and struck a curb and blew out a tire. Police are still looking for the driver and a third man who fled the scene.

Bostic told police that they had been driving around Fairfield looking for cars to break into, according to the Citizen. Other unlocked vehicle break-ins were reported on Spinning Wheel Road, Fairfield Place, Mona Terrace (where a Lincoln MKX was stolen and later recovered in Milford), Southfield Road and Overhill Road, the Citizen reports.
