Chick-Fil-A Confirms New Restaurant In Fairfield
Earlier this week, First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick and town officials said the popular chicken chain was opening a spot on the Post Road.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Earlier this week, First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick and other Fairfield officials said a new Chick-fil-A restaurant would open at 750 Post Road, and on Friday, the popular chain confirmed those plans.
In an email to Patch, a spokesperson for Chick-fil-A, Inc., said the new restaurant will open within a year.
"It's our pleasure to confirm we will be opening our first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Fairfield, located at 750 Post Road," the company spokesperson wrote. "Construction on Chick-fil-A Post Road & Elliot Street has begun and includes renovations to the existing structure. The restaurant is slated to open within the next year. We look forward to joining the community and to serving all of our guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality."

The new Chick-fil-A is moving into a former Joe's American Bar & Grill that had sat vacant for more than three years, and was deemed a blighted property in 2022.
An earlier proposal for the new restaurant was denied by the Town Plan and Zoning Commission, because a planned drive-thru would possibly cause traffic problems. To move the new restaurant forward, Chick-fil-A abandoned plans for a drive-thru at the location.
