Couple Held Victim At Gunpoint, Stole $500 Shoes: Fairfield Cops
The victim arranged through an online marketplace to sell the high-end sneakers, but the buyer robbed him instead, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Bridgeport couple is accused of robbing a man who was trying to sell a pair of high-end sneakers online, according to police. Shean Jordan Fernandez is charged with robbery and larceny, and Michelle Chanais Freeman is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit larceny, police said.
The victim arranged through the online marketplace Letgo for a buyer to purchase a pair of Air Jordan 4 Travis Scott retro sneakers, which typically retail for $900 or more, according to police. The victim planned to sell them for $500. When the buyer arrived the afternoon of Aug. 23 at the victim's home in the 100 block of Melody Lane, she asked him to get in the back seat of her car, police said. Inside the vehicle, a man pointed a handgun at the victim's head and said, "Sneakers are mine, (expletive)," according to police. The victim left the sneakers on the seat and exited the car.
The victim saw the license plate number and reported it to police, along with a description of the silver Honda Accord. He also found the driver's picture on Facebook, which he sent to police.
