Deer Gets Antlers Stuck in Soccer Net; Freed by Fairfield Officers

The incident occurred at Fairfield University on Monday morning.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A large deer found itself in a scary situation at a Fairfield University soccer field on Monday morning when its antlers got tangled in a soccer net, according to multiple reports.

The deer can be seen on video thrashing around trying to break free from the netting.

But fortunately for the Stag, it was freed by Fairfield Animal Control and Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officers, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Fairfield Daily Voice reports the deer dragged the net for about 30 to 40 feet before officers cut the net and the deer ran off into the woods.
