Despite Delays, Plan B Burger Bar Assures It's Still Coming to Fairfield

The restaurant is now hoping to open its downtown location this spring.

Despite numerous delays that have pushed its original target opening date back by about a year and a half, Plan B Burger Bar representatives assure their fans that they are still coming to Fairfield with a new planned opening of this spring, according to the Connecticut Post.

Plan B originally planned to open at the former U.S. Post Office building in downtown Fairfield in September 2013 but delays pushed the target date to the fall of 2014.

However, Plan B spokeswoman Rachel Hurvitz told the Post that their landlords ran into some obstacles during their construction process and Plan B was unable to start their restaurant build-out until the building itself had been reconstructed.

While Plan B doesn’t have a date set yet, Hurvitz told the Post “we promise we are still coming to Fairfield...” and “We are eager to open our doors and are sorry to have kept everyone waiting so long.”

She also said that they have begun construction of the restaurant and should be able to start the hiring process in about three months.

According to its website, Plan B burgers are made with “100% verified humane” beef with “no hormones, no chemicals, from farms that have undergone the strictest natural food certification in existence today.”

The Fairfield location will be the sixth Plan B Burger Bar restaurant in the state, joining Stamford, Milford, Glastonbury, Simsbury, and West Hartford.
