DNA Evidence Leads To Arrest Of Deli Burglar: Fairfield Police

The deli was burglarized last summer.

FAIRFIELD, CT — DNA from several drops of blood that were found on a broken glass door led to the arrest of a convicted felon in connection to a burglary at a deli in Fairfield last August, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports Abdus-Shahid Muhammad, 54, of Bridgeport, was recently arrested on a warrant for allegedly burglarizing the Hungarian Goulash Deli on Kings Highway in August of 2017. Police say Muhammad is a convicted felon with 31 arrests in Connecticut since 1986, according to the Citizen.
