DUI Checkpoints Announced In Fairfield
Fairfield Police announce several traffic advisories that will be in effect for Fairfield University's annual Clam Jam event.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield Police have announced several traffic advisories that will take place during Fairfield University’s Clam Jam event at Penfield Beach on Saturday, April 28. Several parking restrictions and tow zones will be in effect. Police have also announced DUI checkpoints that will take place. Read more from the Fairfield Police Department below:
In an effort to reduce overcrowding and maintain public safety all streets leading to the beach south of Quincy street will be posted as temporary no parking/tow zones from 10 a.m. to 6 pm. Vehicles parked in these areas on April 28, 2018 will be ticketed starting at 10 a.m. and will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please park your vehicles in your driveways and plan your day accordingly based on these temporary tow zones that will be in effect.

In addition, in an effort to maintain safe roadways, the Fairfield Police Department will conduct DUI Enforcement Checkpoints on Saturday April 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the areas of Reef Road and Penfield Road.
The checkpoints are part of the Fairfield Police Department's effort to increase public safety and are funded through a grant from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation DUI Enforcement Program.
