Edward M. Kentos, WWII Veteran and Fairfield Native, Dies at 91

Edward worked at Bridgeport Machines until his retirement, which he enjoyed very much

Edward M. Kentos, age 91 of Fairfield, the beloved husband of 63 years to Mary (Ayles) Kentos, entered into eternal rest, peacefully, on Friday, May 9, 2014 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Edward served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. Following the war, he married his wife and they eventually settled in Fairfield. He worked at Bridgeport Machines until his retirement, which he enjoyed very much. God blessed Edward with a full life and has now called him home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Edward and his wife, Kelsie of PA; his daughter, Kathleen of Trumbull; his grandchildren, Erin Marie, Brittany and Corey; his sister, May and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Margaret (Valus) Kentos and his sister, Anna.
