Employee Steals $14K from Fairfield BJ's to Pay College Tuition: Report

Fairfield Police have charged a 22-year-old man with stealing about $14,000 from his job at BJ’s Wholesale Club that he said was for his college tuition at Western Connecticut State University, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports Shakeem T. Fowler, of Palisade Avenue in Bridgeport, recently turned himself in on an arrest warrant.

Fowler allegedly took about $600 each weekend during the course of the past year, according to the Citizen.
