Why not take advantage of the mild weather this sunday and take a walk for a good cause? On Sunday, March 4th, the Great River Golf Club in Milford will host a 3K Winter Walk along their scenic golf cart path. It kicks off at 12:00 p.m. for walkers of all ages. And no worries if you have little ones are in strollers, they’re welcome too.
Participants can take a brisk walk on all or part of the course. And if you need a break, Fairfield’s own Chip’s Family Restaurant will be there with hot chocolate, hot cider, and their famous family-style pancakes.
The golf cart course is an easy pathway with only a slight elevation in some parts. All in all, a great way to get some exercise and a good meal!

Registration is $10 per walker with sponsorship and pledge forms available. You can download pledge forms from the Operation Hope website (Events). All proceeds will go to fund Operation Hope’s community programs. Prizes will be awarded to those teams or individuals who raise the most money.
