Fairfield Little League Girls Softball Registration

Registration (online only) is open for Fairfield Little League Girls Softball's Spring 2013 season!

If your daughter lives in Fairfield and turns between six and 15 years old this year, she's eligible to play in one of Connecticut's most successfull softball programs -- Fairfield is home to the 2011 and 2012 State Champions.

Playing Levels



  • A Ball: Introductory level for girls turning sixseven, or eight this calendar year. Highly modified rules, including softer ball, coach pitch and/or hitting tee, continuous batting order, all defensive players field. Designed to teach girls the fundamentals while having fun.

  • AA: For girls turning nine or 10 in 2013 (although nine-year-olds can play A Ball if requested). Modified player pitch (from 35 feet), 11” hard ball, limited bases on balls and stealing, continuous batting order, 10 defensive players in the field.

  • AAA: For girls turning 11 or 12 in 2013 (although 11-year-olds can play at AA if requested). Player pitch (from 35 feet), 11” hard ball, unlimited walks and steals, continuous batting order, nine defensive players on the field.

  • Majors: For girls turning 13 in 2013, although some 12-year-olds will play Majors (based on skill, team rosters). Pitching rubber at 40 feet, 12” hard ball, continuous batting order, nine defensive players in the field.

  • Juniors: For girls turning 14 or 15 in 2013. High school freshmen playing for Warde or Ludlowe retain eligibility and can join their Little League team at the end of the school season. Pitching rubber at 43 feet, 12” hard ball, continuous batting order, nine defensive players in the field.

  • March 3: Registration closes for AA-Juniors

  • March 6: General Membership Meeting

  • March 12: Evaluation schedule released (AA, AAA, Majors)

  • March 16: AAA, Majors evaluations

  • March 17: AA, AAA evaluations

  • March 22: AA-Juniors teams announced

  • April 1: AA-Juniors Practices begin

  • April 7: A Ball registration closes

  • April 12: A Ball teams announced

  • April 28: Opening Day at Hoydens Hill, the new home of FLLGS!

Registration is only available through the league's website (fllgs.org) and costs $135 for AA-Juniors and $100 for A Ball. FLLGS is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization and fees cover program and operating costs, including fields, uniforms, playing equipment, insurance, and umpires.
