PAL Sand Sculpture Contest

For families and individuals looking for adventure, creativity, and fun in the sun, the Fairfield Police Athletic League is sponsoring their thirteenth annual Sand Sculpture Contest.  The PAL event is open to amateurs who want to try their hand at creating artwork at the beach.  The contest will take place on the sandbar at Penfield Beach on Sunday, August 21, from 10:15 am – 12:15 pm.

There is no charge for this event but registration is required.   Registration will begin at 10:00 am.  Registration forms will be available at the event.   There is no pre-registration.  Just look for the PAL sign on the deck at the new Penfield Pavilion on the day of the event.

Interested participants may register as teams or as individuals.  Individual entrants must be 18 years old or under and teams must include at least one member 18 or under.  Families are encouraged to enter as a team and work together on a creation.   Only objects found in nature may be included in the sculpture.  Participants should bring any tools that they’ll need to create their “masterpiece”.
