FAIRFIELD, CT — A former Westport girls soccer coach who is accused of exposing himself to a teen in Fairfield and a woman in Norwalk is seeking a psychiatric probation program, according to the Connecticut Post. David Sharpe, 30, of Fairfield, was arrested in December after police investigated an Oct. 23 report that a man in a car exposed himself to a pedestrian. He was then arrested again in January for a Sept. 26 incident in Norwalk, where Sharpe is accused of having repeatedly driven past a dog walker while masturbating. Sharpe is charged with public indecency and breach of peace in both cases.

At the time that the incidents were reported, Sharpe was an assistant girls' soccer coach at Staples High School. He resigned after an interview with Fairfield detectives . He also told police in the Fairfield case it's "possible" he accidentally exposed himself to the teen," the Connecticut Post has reported.

If found eligible for the special probation program he is seeking, he would not plead guilty to the charges and would be placed on psychiatric supervised probation, the Connecticut post reported. Once the program is complete, the charges would be dismissed. Sharpe's case in Norwalk is still pending.
