The Fairfield 10-year-old girls All-Stars staged a dramatic comeback Friday to keep alive their season.
Two outs away from defeat, the locals rallied for three runs in the top of the sixth inning to defeat West Point, Pa., 3-2, in the Eastern Regional semifinals in Fleetville, Pa.
Fairfield will take on New York in Saturday's championship game at 3:30 p.m.

With one out in the sixth inning Friday and Fairfield trailing, 2-0, Brittany Romero and Mary Finnigan reached on infield singles before Anna Rasmussen spanked a triple down the right-field to tie the game.
Rasmussen then scored the eventual winning run on Shannon McCartney's grounder to second.

Romero, Finnigan and Rasmussen each finished with two hits for Fairfield, which is undefeated in the postseason.
Romero retired Pennsylvania in order in the bottom half of the sixth to close out the victory.
New York defeated Rhode Island, 6-3, in Friday's other semifinal. New York has all of its available for Saturday's title game, while Connecticut has everybody on call except for Romero, its No. 1 hurler.
Pennsylvania used four walks to grab a 1-0 in the second, then made it 2-0 in the fourth on a double, wild pitch, and bunt.
However, Romero improved to 14-0 in the postseason by allowing only two hits. She also had eight strikeouts, fanning the last two batters of the game.
