Fairfield 4th of July Fireworks 2016 Details

Event date, rain dates, parking information and more on the annual Independence Day fireworks celebration.

Fairfield, CT — Fairfield’s Independence Day fireworks show will take place Saturday July, 2 with rain dates on July 3 and 4, if necessary.

Fireworks explode just after dark, usually around 9:15 PM, from a barge off Long Island Sound so the show can be seen easily from either Penfield or Jennings Beaches.

There will be entertainment with Mark Berger & the Ride at Jennings Beach from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Parking Information (via the town website)

Limited Parking: Beach Parking lots can be accessed either with a Season Beach Pass or by purchasing a Daily Pass for $50.00 per vehicle (cash only). Daily Passes will be limited to the first 350 vehicles at Jennings Beach and 50 vehicles at Penfield Beach. A Daily Parking Fee will also be charged to park at the Ash Creek Open Space Parking Lot the day of the fireworks.

Lots will fill. Plan on getting there early so as not to be disappointed.

Town officials also remind residents that alcoholic beverages are not permitted on town beaches and you will not be permitted to bring your own grill.
