Fairfield American 10-Year-Old Girls All-Stars Clinch Top Seed in New England Section
Advances to the East Regional semifinals on Friday against the No. 2 seed from the Mid-Atlantic Region
With a little help from Vermont, the Fairfield American 10-year-old girls All-Stars clinched the New England section championship Monday night in Fleetville, Pennsylvania.
Vermont's 3-2 win over Maine, enabled Fairfield American to secure the top seed in New England play and secure a berth in the East Region semifinals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Fairfield American, which improved to 2-0 in pool play with Monday's 15-5 win over Rhode Island, will take on the No. 2 seed in the Mid-Atlantic Region, which could be any one of four states: Maryland, New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania.

Fairfield American faces Maine on Tuesday in its final round robin game, but the outcome will have no impact on its seeding.
