Fairfield American Eliminates Fairfield National in Little League Tournament

Fairfield American dominated rival Fairfield National 22-2 in a game stopped by the mercy rule Monday to set up a rematch with Westport in the District II Little League tournament.

Fairfield American, which finished with five home runs among its 20 hits against Fairfield National, will play Westport Thursday night at Unity Park in Trumbull at 7:30 p.m., according to the Connecticut Post. Fairfield American lost to Westport 10-7 last Friday.

Fairfield National was eliminated with the loss.
