Fairfield Animal Control Still Seeking ‘Amazing’ Dog’s Owner
Animal control officers haven't been able to locate Golden Retriever's owner more than a week after she was found in Fairfield.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Animal Control is still trying to reunite a lost Golden Retriever with her owner a week after posting that she had been found.
The photo of the lost dog has garnered a lot of shares and comments on Facebook, but the animal control still hasn’t been able to locate her owner.
“Everyone, thank you for all of your shares and comments! Unfortunately we have not found an owner for this dog yet,” the animal control posted on Facebook. “We need your help! Get the word out to all of your friends and family, animal control is looking for the owner of this beautiful girl. We want to get her home to where she belongs!!! Animal Control will be holding her for a little bit longer to give her owners the best chance at finding her.”

The female Golden Retriever was picked up on Saturday, Oct. 22 from Querida Street in Fairfield and was impounded at the shelter, according to the animal control.

“She had no collar, ID tags or microchip,” the animal control said in the original post on Facebook last week. “She was wearing a pink harness but that also had no tags attached. Very friendly and gentle with everyone. Please pass this info and picture on to others on facebook. Someone has to be missing this amazing dog.”
