Fairfield Bar Bouncer Stabbed in Face With Broken Bottle

Daniel Silva, 30, of Bridgeport accused of stabbing man in the face; was apprehended after police found him passed out in a backyard.

A Bridgeport man allegedly stabbed a Fairfield bar bouncer in the face with a broken bottle and tried to evade police by running through backyards and jumping over fences but was ultimately apprehended after he apparently passed out in a backyard, according to the Connecticut Post.

Daniel Silva, 30, of Dewey St. in Bridgeport, was arrested on charges of first-degree assault and interfering with an officer in connection with the incident that took place at 1 a.m. Monday morning at Bill’s Crossroads bar on Tunxis Hill Road in Fairfield, according to the Post.

The Post reports that when police arrived at the scene they found the unidentified bouncer, a 57-year-old Fairfield man, bleeding heavily from the face. The man suffered a deep wound to his face that police said would require plastic surgery.
