Fairfield Beaches Closed To Swimmers For Second Day In A Row

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield's coastal beaches and Lake Mohegan swimming area are closed Friday for the second day in a row due to excessive rainfall, according to an email from the health department. The closures come after remnants of Hurricane Ida blew through the area, dropping about 6 inches of rain in Fairfield.
