Fairfield Board of Finance Member Christopher DeWitt Announces Intention to Seek Re-Election

DeWitt seeks re-election for Fairfield Board of Finance

Christopher DeWitt, a ten year member of the Town of Fairfield’s Board of Finance, formally announced he is seeking re-election to the Board in November 2017. Mr. DeWitt is seeking re-election to continue adding stability to Fairfield through private business and BOF experience. In the next few years, Fairfield must re-structure to deal with continuing financial pressures from Hartford. As Fairfield transitions to a post-GE environment with Hartford based financial pressures, experienced real world business leaders are needed on our Board.
With a vision toward re-aligning Town government entities, implementing private business best practices and pushing for internal accountability, DeWitt is ready to continue working with department heads and elected officials on the long-term issues confronting Fairfield.
Mr. DeWitt has served on the BOF budget committee, as board secretary and as the Chairman of the Not-for-Profit committee. He brings program management, supply chain and Business Development experience to the Board. Chris holds a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from Fairfield University and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is an Air Force/Air National Guard veteran and was awarded the 1987 Airman of the year by the Connecticut Adjutant General.
DeWitt is currently the Director of Business Development for Kaman Precision Products in Middletown, CT. He and his wife, Kristin, are the parents of fourteen year old girl boy twins, Anna and Ryan, heading to Fairfield Warde in the fall of 2017. In his spare time Chris coaches Fairfield Little League Girls Softball and Fairfield Fury travel softball.
