Fairfield Burglary Suspect Apprehended After Bike, Foot Chase: Police
A resident spotted the suspect in their pickup truck and police say they had to threaten him with a Taser to get him to stop running.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A Bridgeport man accused of burglarizing a pickup truck led police on a chase that began with his getaway bicycle, then a foot chase through a yard before he was finally apprehended after being threatened with a Taser, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports Jesse Cruz, 32, of Eaton Street, was arrested after a Toilsome Hill Road resident spotted him inside their pickup truck.
Police said Cruz was found to be in the possession of $48 cash, $9 in loose change, a $125 GPS watch, a $50 pair of women’s sunglasses and a flashlight, according to the Citizen.
