Fairfield Candidate Profile: Jack Testani For Board Of Finance

FAIRFIELD, CT — The 2019 municipal election is heating up in Fairfield and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office, so Fairfield Patch asked them to answer questions about their campaigns.

Jack Testani is running for the Board of Finance as a Republican. Testani works in business development and has previously held seats on Trumbull's Town Council and Board of Finance.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I have a unique combination of corporate and political experience. As someone born and raised in Fairfield, I can bring immediate value as an elected member of the Board of Finance. I have a complete understanding of some of the changes that Fairfield will have in the years ahead and I can bring the desire, work ethic and dedication to the position that will have a positive impact for Fairfield.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:

I plan to seek input from the tax payers of Fairfield as well as Town departments to determine the most effective and efficient way to correcly apply budget items.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Elected member of the Board of Finance and Trumbull Town Council, I also have been recognized for many years by my employer/ICON International, Inc as a Top Performer because of gross profit generated by many new clients over an 18 year career as a vice president of new business. I also have extensive community service experience as a member of the chamber of commerce, founding member of Trumbull Youth Lacrosse and volunteer for several organizations.

Act with humility and consideration towards others, extend a kindness and pay good fortune forward when possible.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I am someone always willing and eager to listen concerns from Town residents and calculate budget decisions with fiscal responsibility. My goal is to reach consensus, act with bi-partisan cooperation and help Fairfield continue to be a thriving and beautiful Town.
