Fairfield Center, Southport Station Houses Close Indefinitely

FAIRFIELD, CT — The train station houses at Fairfield's center and Southport stations will be closed until further notice, according to a post on Twitter from the Fairfield Police Department. The closures are at the request of the Metro-North Railroad and the Connecticut Department of Transportation, and are part of an effort to minimize the spread of the new coronavirus, which has swept across the tri-state area in recent weeks.
