Fairfield Coronavirus Update: 3 More Deaths Reported

As of Thursday, 21 Fairfield residents were reported to have died after contracting the new coronavirus.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Three new coronavirus patient deaths were reported Thursday in Fairfield, according to the first selectwoman, bringing the total to 21 virus-associated fatalities in town.

First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick also reported 26 additional confirmed cases of the virus as of Thursday in Fairfield, with a total of 246 confirmed cases. Of those, 74 patients had fully recovered, Kupchick said in a Facebook post.

Across Connecticut as of Thursday, the total reached 15,884 confirmed cases — up more than 1,000 cases since Wednesday — and 971 deaths, according to state data.
