Fairfield Crash On I-95 Causes Traffic Mess

FAIRFIELD, CT — Interstate 95 northbound in Fairfield is experiencing heavy traffic after a two-vehicle crash this afternoon.

According to the state Department of Transportation, there is high congestion between exits 17 and 21, creating a 5.1-mile backup.

The crash reportedly happened at 3:06 p.m. today, with state officials estimating the cleanup will last up to a half hour.
