Fairfield Drivers: Merritt Lane Closures in Norwalk, Westport Thursday

Road work will cause lane closures in Westport and Norwalk in three areas on Thursday, the Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced:

• The right lane on the southbound-traffic side of the Merritt Parkway to be closed on a stretch of the road between Exits 44 and 42 until 3 p.m. Thursday, in Westport.

• In Norwalk, the right lane on the northbound-traffic side of the parkway between Exits 38 and 39 is scheduled to be closed, according to the same announcement.

• The left lane on the southbound-traffic side, along the same stretch of road, the department said in a separate, earlier announcement.
