Fairfield Firefighters Battle Blaze On Longfellow Avenue

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield firefighters responded during the weekend to an overnight blaze. Officials were on scene at a structure on residential Longfellow Avenue, the fire department posted on Twitter at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday. After finding a fire in a first-floor bedroom, first responders were able to contain the blaze to the one room, according to another Twitter post from the department sent at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
