Fairfield Firefighters Called To Gas Leak In Greenfield Hill

Southern Connecticut Gas was also on the scene and resolved the issue.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Emergency personnel responded to a natural gas leak Thursday morning. The incident occurred before 9 a.m. in the 4900 block of Congress Street, according to a Facebook post from the Fairfield Fire Department.

"Residents at the time may have experienced an odor of gas in the area," the fire department said. "There is currently no hazard to area homes."

Southern Connecticut Gas was also on the scene and resolved the issue, according to the department.
