Fairfield Firefighters Rescue Driver Trapped In Rollover Crash
The roof of the vehicle had to be pried off, according to officials.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Firefighters had to perform a "roof removal" in Fairfield on Wednesday, after a driver became trapped in her vehicle when it rolled over on Fairmount Terrace, according to fire officials.
Hydraulic cutting tools were used to pry off the roof in order to get to the driver.
A total of 11 firefighters responded to the scene Wednesday night, and after the driver was extracted from the vehicle, she was transported to a local hospital for precautionary measures, according to officials.
