Fairfield First Selectwoman Kupchick To Seek Reelection
The Republican, who is in the midst of her first term, is planning to officially kick off her campaign next month.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick will seek reelection this fall, she confirmed to Patch on Friday.
"Yes, we filed the necessary paperwork to open a reelection committee, but a formal kickoff won’t come until next month," the first-term Republican said.
Kupchick, the second woman to hold the town's highest elected office, defeated embattled Democratic incumbent Mike Tetreau in 2019, after serving as one of Fairfield's state representatives for nearly a decade. Prior to her years in Hartford, Kupchick served on the Fairfield Representative Town Meeting and the Board of Education.
