Fairfield Food Truck Festival Back At The Beach This Weekend
Proceeds from this year's Fairfield Food Truck Festival will be used to improve the children's library at the Fairfield Woods Branch.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Food Truck Festival will return this weekend, after a one-year absence due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event will take place 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Jennings Beach.
“It’s been a long year and I know everyone is looking forward to being outside, seeing friends and eating great food,” said Leann Ratner, president of Friends of Fairfield Public Library, in a news release.

The Fairfield Food Truck Festival has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Fairfield Public Library since debuting in 2017. All proceeds from the festival are used to fund community-facing programs and initiatives at the library, such as a new public-address system for the Rotary Room and the mobile computer lab. This year’s proceeds will be used to improve the children’s library at the Fairfield Woods Branch.
The 2021 festival will adhere to some pandemic-related restrictions. Attendance will be capped at roughly half that of previous years. Attendees can expect a few less trucks, but many festival favorites are returning, including Lobster Craft, DrewbaQ, Bubble & Brew Tea and Rice & Beans.
