Fairfield Giant Pee Wee Squad Rolls in Semifinals

Giants advance to third straight championship game.

Fairfield Giant Pee Wee’s Shutout Naugy In SCPW Semi-Finals

PEE WEE (8-1) FAIRFIELD 34 Naugatuck 0

The Giants Pee Wee Team came off a bye week well rested and ready to play some football. The defending State Champions posted their 7th shutout in nine games. The stingy D has allowed just one TD (7pts) in eight division II games. The Hounds came up short on almost every offensive possession, tallying just one first down all day. Jack Gremes, Gavin Toth, Aaron Sepot, Anthony Bambus, and Peter Strang anchored the D front lines. Offensively, Fairfield exploded for 34 fast and furious unanswered points. The Giants scored 3 times on just six plays, within their first 3 possessions. Tyler Hibberd hit all 3 PATS, putting the game well out of reach by Q2. QB Nick Morris started the scoring barrage with a 60 yard TD run on the very first play of the game! Scores followed by RB’s Mike Innaimo and Peter Strang, both with 50yd runs. Both Strang and Morris would each score a 2nd TD making the final score 34-0. With the win, the Giants advance to their 3rd straight SCPW Championship game vs the Trumbull Rangers.
