Fairfield Girls’ Ski Team Wins State Title
Congratulations to the Fairfield skiers for bringing home the state title for the seventh straight year.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Congratulations to the Fairfield girls’ ski team for bringing home the state title for the seventh straight year. The championship race was held March 5 at Mt. Southington for the Connecticut Interscholastic Ski League (CISL).
CISL is a high school ski racing league that is made up of girl's and boy's teams from public and private high schools throughout Connecticut.
Fairfield finished first and was followed by Staples-Westport, Ridgefield, Weston and Hand-Madison.

Fairfield Prep finished in third place in the boys’ championship race. Southington won the race and was followed by Ridgefield, Fairfield Prep, Weston and Staples.
Lauren Harris was the top finisher for the girls in the State Open and was followed by Kira Howard, Grace Mahmood, Sophia Bastek and Emma Nelson, according to the CISL website.

Jose Riera was the top finisher for the boys and was followed by Nick Jacobs, Declan Mcnamara, Alec Zackin and Kyle Vaccarella.
