FAIRFIELD, CT — The Town of Fairfield has named Regina Williams as its new Director of Human Resources, officials announced this week. She replaces former HR Director Cathleen Simpson, who held the position for three years before resigning last year.

Williams will oversee workforce administration and labor relations for the town and serve as a member of the executive leadership team. In that role, she will advise First Selectperson Christine Vitale, department heads, and town boards on personnel policies, organizational strategy, and compliance with state and federal employment laws.

According to the town, Williams' responsibilities will include recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, training, and coordination with labor unions representing municipal employees.
