Fairfield Hosting Tuesday Vaccine Clinic At Bigelow Center

The appointment-only clinic is for ages 12 and over and will offer first, second and booster doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

FAIRFIELD, CT —The Fairfield Health Department is hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Tuesday at which first, second and booster doses will be administered to people over 12 years of age.

The clinic will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bigelow Center for Senior Activities, 100 Mona Terrace. Appointments are necessary and can be booked through the CDC Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS) website.

The clinic will feature the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Though Pfizer boosters only are approved for people 16 years of age and older.

The health department also reminds residents that this clinic is not open to children 5 to 11 years of age.

The Pfizer vaccine is the only one approved for children ages 12 and 18, and recipients under the age of 18 must bring a filled-out vaccine consent form to the clinic.

Additionally, everyone attending the clinic must fill out a pre-vaccination questionnaire, which can be found in their VAMS account, prior to the appointment.

Parents or guardians should fill out the questionnaire on their child's VAMS recipient account, or on their own VAMS account by clicking on the link in the "Action Required" box.

Those who are unable to access their VAMS account, can print, fill out and bring the questionnaire to their appointment.

The Fairfield Health Department also reminds everyone that children and adults currently quarantined for a COVID-19 exposure cannot be vaccinated at Tuesday's clinic.
