Fairfield Kiwanis To Create 6th Annual Field of Valor
The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield will honor military veterans and those actively serving with a Field of Valor displaying U.S. flags.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Kiwanis Club will hold its sixth annual Field of Valor dedication ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 6.
“To honor our Military Veterans and those men and women actively serving our country, the Kiwanis Club of Fairfield will create a Field of Valor displaying U.S. flags,” officials wrote in a news release.
The Field of Valor will include more than 300 full size (3' x 5') American flags and will be on display to commemorate Veterans Day on Nov. 11. The display will be created in Jennings Park (adjacent to Hansen’s Florist and across from Bob’s Shopping Center) from Sunday, Nov. 6 until Saturday, Nov. 19.

All are invited to sponsor any friends or family they would like to honor with one of these keepsake flags. Your honoree and sponsor name will be proudly displayed with a yellow card attached to each flag. The cost to sponsor a flag is $25. Following the event, you may choose to pick up your flag or you may donate the flags for use in future years. To order, please visit www.fairfieldkiwanis.org.

A dedication ceremony for the Field of Valor will be held on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. at Jennings Park. You may park across the street at Bob's Shopping Center; Fairfield Police will be available to assist crossing the Post Road.
Proceeds support the efforts of Homes for the Brave. HFTB has served nearly 1,350 men, women and children by providing safe and secure housing, case management, vocational training, life skills coaching, computer classes, and mental health services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
